Hello, I’m Char and welcome to my first blog!

Hello! There it is. My first word on my first ever blog. I had no idea where to start and I’m still not sure but the ball is rolling.

I’m an illustrator based in Barcombe, which is near Lewes, which is near Brighton, in the UK.  I largely work in pen and watercolour and over the years have developed a style heavily influenced by nature, anthropomorphism and the everyday quirks and idiosyncrasies of life!

I currently sell some of my hand drawn work in the form prints and greetings cards on my website shop and Etsy but I also accept commission work. I will blog more on this later but take a browse here to see examples of the uniquely illustrated and personalised work I love to create.

I’ve always struggled with the business side of my business, I much prefer creating stuff. I thought a blog is a place to chat about those difficulties, share thoughts and ideas with other creatives who might be in the same boat but above all, tell people I’m here.
